Mohamed Abdelfattah is a journalist and documentary filmmaker based in Chicago.

From 2010 to 2015, he covered the transformative events of the 2011 Egyptian uprising, and the upheaval that ensued.

News organizations where his work appeared include: Deutsche Welle TV, CNN, The New York Times, Bloomberg TV Africa, Al Masry Al Youm, Ahram Online, Radio France Internationale, among others.

In 2011, he won an award for his work on police brutality and human rights abuses in Egypt.
